  2. After safely removing the rear tires now you need to remove other nuts and bolts attached with the drum brakes. With the help of a hand ratchet and a desired sized socket try to remove the caliper bolts. If in case they are corroded, using a propane torch might prove handy in loosening of the bolts. You can also refer with the car manufacturer and their guide to know about the actual procedure.

  3. After removing the caliper bolts now you have replace the damaged parts. By applying an inward pressure you can easily pick out the old and worn out parts and replace them entirely with new ones. A c-clamp might prove very handy for applying an inward pressure. After you see that the piston is fully inside the piston bore, carefully remove the brake pads and replace the old caliper slides, rattle chips and other rubber boots. Apply proper lubricant and put on some grease onto the caliper bridge and fix the new brake pads.

  4. After the installation of the brand new brake pads now you are required to re-attach the whole system back to its earlier position. With help of an impact gun and torque sockets you can comfortably replace the lug nuts and other caliper bolts. After fixing the whole set up tighten up all the screws and do the same for the other wheel.

  5. Last but not the least, now you need to set the brake pads. By pumping the brake pedal with your feet the brake pads get adjusted onto the rotor. To make yourself completely sure about the braking system, drive your car slowly in an open area and check with the working of your new brake pads.
